During her first years at Ecrimesa, Elena Mora has excelled in performing various tasks in the Production Planning area. Her path has been one of dedication, for which she has made use of her strong character, which has surprised even her teammates.
“During these last few years I have seen a great evolution in the company. You could say that in this interval of time it has undergone a ‘little big’ revolution.”
- How long have you been working at Ecrimesa Group?
I have been working in the company for four years. - What tasks have you performed in it?
As I have been acquiring knowledge and experience within the company, I have been growing while developing different functions.
At first I was in charge of managing the external workshops and low cost parts. Currently, my functions include planning the injection of MIM parts and planning the production of parts for our French and national customers, with whom I am in direct contact. - How have you seen the company evolve since you joined?
During these last years I have perceived a great evolution in the company. It could be said that in this interval of time it has undergone a ‘little-great’ revolution, in which we have been adapting to new technologies and expanding our capabilities with the incorporation of new state-of-the-art machinery. So far this year, for example, two MIM parts injectors and a furnace. - How do you tell or would you tell your children what you do?
I will tell them that our company is dedicated to making parts that are used in many different sectors and that I help, among other things, to organise the processes so that they are carried out properly and on time. When she or he gets older, I would like them to learn and understand the whole process involved in making both Investment Casting and MIM parts. - How do you value your work experience at Ecrimesa?
The evaluation of my experience in Ecrimesa is very positive. I have always liked organization and logistics, so I decided to receive specific training during and after my engineering career. This allowed me to gain experience in different companies previously. Working in what I like in a company like Ecrimesa, with leading industrial processes and in which there is so much diversity of parts and customers, makes me proud.
Besides, I consider the good working environment to be very important, and personally in this sense, I am very happy with my colleagues. - What recommendation would you give to the new generations that are currently joining the company?
I would recommend them to carry out their work with enthusiasm, with the desire to always have a continuous learning process and with effort. - What company would you like to work for, if only out of curiosity?
Years ago I would have said that I would like to work in the Logistics or Planning Department of a large construction company, but today I can’t think of any specific one. - If there were time gates, what era of the past would you like to travel to?
I think that we are better off in the present time because in the past there was a poorer quality of life, health or peace situation. But it fascinates me to think about the Pharaonic Egypt, how more than 4,000 years ago they had the capacity to build those temples that are the pyramids. A bit similar to classical Greece, they were very advanced for their time. - Tell us an amusing anecdote related to your work.
When I had been with the company for about a year, my colleagues told me that I seemed like a serious and shy girl. They were surprised at how I brought out my character to be able to direct and manage what I needed, and had a few laughs at my expense. - Recommend a movie, a series, a song and a book.
