High-performance metal components for defense and sport shooting

by Ecrimesa Group / Tuesday, 25 November 2025 / Published in MIM

In sectors like defense and sport shooting, precision isn’t just a performance goal. It’s a requirement. Whether for an optical system in a submarine or a rear sight on a competition-grade rifle, each metal component must deliver consistent accuracy, surface quality, and durability. At Ecrimesa Group, we design and manufacture parts that meet these standards from start to finish.

Engineered for mission-critical performance

We develop components for military and sporting optics using metal injection moulding (MIM) and investment casting. These technologies allow us to manufacture small, complex geometries with tolerances often tighter than ±0.5 percent. These characteristics are especially valuable for parts where dimensional consistency directly impacts optical precision.

In naval defense, our components are used in periscopic and visual systems onboard submarines. These parts must withstand harsh underwater conditions, resist corrosion, and maintain mechanical and dimensional stability over time. Through the use of catalytic debinding and continuous sintering, we achieve near-full densification and minimal porosity, ensuring both structural integrity and long-term reliability.

Built for performance in sport shooting

For sport shooting applications, we manufacture front and rear sights, mounting bases, and elevation mechanisms using MIM technology. These components must provide flawless repeatability to support consistent aiming and shooting performance.

To support these functional demands, we apply matte black surface finishes that reduce glare and enhance corrosion resistance. These treatments are especially critical in outdoor environments where exposure to moisture and varying temperatures is constant.

Additionally, we offer in-house heat treatment services to meet the specific mechanical and metallurgical requirements of each part. Whether adjusting hardness levels for wear resistance or modifying microstructure for stability, our thermal processes are validated and CQI-9 certified. For parts requiring extremely tight tolerances or secondary features, we use precision machining to complete the process.

Certified for defense-grade manufacturing

Ecrimesa Group is certified under EN9100, the quality management standard for aerospace and defense industries. This ensures full traceability, robust documentation, and consistent process control across all stages of manufacturing. Our certification demonstrates our ability to meet the strict requirements of sectors where product reliability and operational safety are non-negotiable.

In addition, our heat treatment lines are CQI-9 certified, confirming compliance with critical process controls for metallurgical treatments. Together, these certifications confirm that our quality system is aligned with the expectations of the world’s most demanding industries.

Integrated manufacturing for total control

At Ecrimesa Group, all key production stages are handled internally:

  • CAD design and simulation
  • Tool and mold manufacturing
  • Metal injection moulding or investment casting
  • Heat treatment and machining
  • 3D dimensional inspection and metallurgical analysis

This vertical integration allows us to control quality, reduce lead times, and respond quickly to customer needs. It also ensures that every component meets its functional and mechanical targets without compromise.

If your project requires high-precision metal components for defense or sport shooting, Ecrimesa Group is your trusted partner.
