Precision, reliability, and technology: our metal parts for the aerospace industry

by Ecrimesa Group / Monday, 06 October 2025 / Published in Additive Manufacturing, Investment Casting, MIM

In a sector where precision is not an option but a strict requirement, metal components must meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. At Ecrimesa Group, we have been manufacturing parts for critical industries like aerospace for over 60 years, complying with the most demanding technical requirements and international certifications.

Manufacturing technologies ready for takeoff

From our facilities in Santander (Spain), we produce metal components using 4 complementary technologies: investment casting, Metal Injection Molding (MIM), machining, and metal additive manufacturing. This versatility is key in aerospace, where tailored solutions and absolute reliability are essential in every part.

Certification and quality: committed to excellence in aerospace

In the summer of 2025, we successfully passed the new audit to maintain our EN9100:2018 certification, renewing our quality accreditation to continue operating in the aerospace, aviation, and defense sectors.

Both our investment casting and MIM processes are certified under this standard, reinforcing our position as a trusted manufacturer of high-precision metal components.

We also have certified technicians for non-destructive testing (NDT) in our facilities, including radioscopy, magnetic particle inspection, and liquid penetrant testing.

For specific heat treatments under NADCAP standards, we collaborate with certified partners, and we can also offer Hipping services when required. These services increase the integrity of the aluminium melting, increment the resistance and optimize the mechanic characteristics of the produced pieces.

Our set of certifications is key for us:

• Because they confirm that our internal processes meet the highest global standards.

• Because they are a trust guarantee for our clients and partners in highly regulated industries.

• Because we’re not just aiming to comply, we strive to excel.

Critical parts for performance and safety

We manufacture structural components, turbine elements, precision mechanisms, and fastening parts using materials such as stainless steels, superalloys, and high-temperature alloys.

With MIM technology, we achieve highly complex geometries with tight tolerances and excellent surface finishes, reducing the need for secondary machining.

Engineering support from the start

Our in-house engineering team works with customers from the early stages of development, optimizing the design for manufacturability (DfM) and advising on the most efficient technology for each case. This reduces lead times, lowers costs, and improves overall production efficiency.

Examples of aerospace applications

Depending on the geometry, volume, and material requirements, we use the most suitable technology; MIM, investment casting, or additive manufacturing, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency in each case.

Our ability to work with stainless steels, soft magnetic materials, tool steels, and heat-resistant superalloys makes us a trusted partner for manufacturers in the aerospace, defense, and aviation sectors.

Your trusted partner in aerospace manufacturing

Our long-standing experience, certified processes, and advanced production capabilities position Ecrimesa Group as a reliable and strategic supplier for the aerospace sector. We understand the critical importance of each part, and we deliver with the precision, consistency, and quality your projects demand.

Whether you’re developing structural components, high-performance mechanisms, or complex prototypes, our team is ready to support your goals with tailored technical solutions.
